An escape room is an adventure-type game. It involves you and your team being placed inside a room and having to solve puzzles and perform tasks in order to find your way out.Most escape rooms (Escaping Reality VR) create dramatic backstories and include special effects to liven up the experience.

Our escape rooms are 60 minutes.

The concept is that you’re trapped inside the room; however you are not actually locked inside. If you need a bathroom break, you can leave temporarily and rejoin the game. However if the team decides to call it quits midway, we may not allow you to pick up from where you left off.

Our experience will be governed by how long it takes you to escape. Please also allow ten minutes on either side of your game time for briefings.

* Please note that if you arrive late, you will be allowed to play but your time in the room may be reduced since we cannot keep the team that has booked the slot after yours waiting.

Yes children can play, however people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

We look forward to making your time at Escaping Reality VR an event you’ll never want to forget. So we do try our best to accommodate special requests but we do require advance notice. We will offer you a special corporate package which will include special pricing, refreshments arrangements and the chance for someone from your office to watch your teams in progress with our Game master.

If you’re under the influence, we will not allow you to participate at Escaping Reality VR. Your booking fee will not be reimbursed and you will be removed from our premises.

Patrons can park in our parking lot free of charge.

Virtual reality is the use of computer modeling and simulation that enables a person to interact with an artificial three-dimensional (3-D) visual or other sensory environment.

Immersive VR is to completely immerse the user inside the computer generated world, giving the impression to the user that he/she has “stepped inside” the synthetic world. This can be achieved by using either the technologies of Head-Mounted Display(HMD) or multiple projections. Immersive VR with HMD uses HMD to project VR just in front of the eyes and allows users to focus on display without distraction. All while being wireless.

Our standalone is our most intimate way of experiencing virtual reality.

Due to the Delta variant and its high level of transmissibility, we ask that all guests wear mask in our venue to and from play areas. We are currently following the CDC new guidelines and the New Jersey State Health Commissioners recommendation. Please be aware that gaiters, bandanas and masks with valves are not acceptable face coverings. All Guests are also asked to use hand sanitizer upon arrival in our ground-floor lobby. All escape room experiences are PRIVATE. The Family, Friends or Work Colleagues you come with are the only people you will be playing with inside your escape room. You are not paired with other Guests.We continue to routinely sanitize and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces (such as door handles, high touch areas and bathrooms).We are maintaining the increased time between games to allow for cleaning measures and to minimize the number of Guests in the reception area at any given time.
